Kristine Marx was born on a farm in Pennsylvania. She studied painting, poetry and philosophy at Sarah Lawrence College and visual art at Hunter College in New York City. She is an associate professor at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and has written essays and reviews on film for PAJ: A Journal of Performance and Art and The Language Exchange, a website hosted by Sarah Lawrence College. She presently lives and works in New York City and Philadelphia.
